LEADERSHIP COMMUNICATIONS

CEO first 100 days

Connection is about coming home

Coming home and serving his community had long been this CEO’s goal, so when the opportunity arose to lead the city’s transit authority and bring it back under public domain, he took it. He needed to communicate his vision and first 100 day plan to the board, build a platform for change with community leaders, and quickly transition contractors to employees.

With only 30 days to complete the transition, we started with a high-level assessment of current state communications and key stakeholders and delivered board materials,  a communications plan for the transition, weekly CEO updates to staff, and a crisis communications plan to address near-term risks of change.

Under the banner “connection is about coming home” and keying off his love for the city and its music, we helped the CEO build connection and provide the consistent communications needed to win support from the board, address employee and citizen concerns, and build awareness, buy-in and excitement for his 100 day plan.

“Thanks to your assistance my first board meeting went exceptionally well. The 100 Day Plan received positive feedback from the Board, the media and our riding public, with one former transit CEO saying it was the ‘tightest message and graphics’ he’d ever seen in a 100 Day plan. I can’t thank you all enough for your counsel and expertise.”
