On a mission to make change a priority

 A Federal CIO chartered a first-of a-kind cross-departmental IT investment decision board with a mission to improve the Department’s IT investment management and better align priorities with mission outcomes to follow law, regulation and policy and make the best use of taxpayer dollars. The move would require a change in thinking and behavior across a complex landscape of stakeholders and ultimately transform IT planning and budgeting across the Agency. 

Leveraging the Prosci ADKAR methodology, we assessed organizational preparedness, impact and characteristics of the change, and provided a change management strategy, including proactive plans to successfully mitigate risk and resistance. We backed it with an agile strategic communications plan and reusable templates, messaging, and collateral to ensure that, as our clients enter their second quarter of a multi-year transformation, they are well prepared for inevitable stakeholder resistance and long-haul change.
